The, formerly known as Guardian Unlimited and, is a British website owned by the Guardian Media Group. It contains nearly all of the content of the newspapers The Guardian and The Observer, as well as a substantial body of web-only work produced by its own staff, including a rolling news service. Its coverage of environmental and development-related issues is extensive through the Environment and Global Development (the latter of which is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and reports on poverty, natural resources, local development)  sections, and features the Guardian Environmental Network, which aggregates news from external sources.


BBC News (Science and Environment Section)


BBC News is an operational business division of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) responsible for the gathering and broadcasting of news and current affairs. The department is the world’s largest broadcast news organisation and generates about 120 hours of radio and television output each day, as well as online news coverage. The service maintains 44 foreign news bureaux and has correspondents in almost every country. The Science and Environment section provides deep coverage of environmental and development-related issues.

PNAS is an important scientific journal that printed its first issue in 1915 and continues to publish highly cited research reports, commentaries, reviews, perspectives, feature articles, profiles, letters to the editor, and actions of the Academy. Coverage in PNAS broadly spans the biological, physical, and social sciences. Although many of the papers published in the journal are in the biomedical sciences, PNAS recruits papers and publishes special features in the physical and social sciences and in mathematics. PNAS is published weekly in print, and daily online in PNAS Early Edition.


Scientific American

It is the oldest continuously published monthly magazine in the United States. In March 1996, Scientific American launched its own website that includes articles from current and past issues and online-only features, such as the Extinction Countdown blog by John R. Platt.
