Nov.19-23: “Are U #AWARE?” festival @USiena! (ENG)

Senzanom

It took many weeks to make it official, but now we are ready to go: thanks to a shared effort by University of Siena and our network, Greening USiena, our institution will host “Are U #AWARE?“, a series of initiatives dedicated to sustainable development that will engage all the stakeholders in labs, exhibitions, seminars and meetings, from Nov.19 to Nov.23! The festival, born under the auspices of the UNESCO Week for Education on Sustainable Development (Nov.18-24), promoted by the UNESCO Italian Commission, aims at putting young people in contact with the most pressing environmental and social issues of our time, while showing that different perspectives, such as university, culture and individual behaviors, are all closely related and necessary to provide students with the instruments needed to influence global sustainable development policies first-hand. Moreover, we are particularly proud of the fact that this event relies heavily on local resources and expertise, a sign that our academic community is already endowed with profound knowledge and enthusiasm with regard to sustainability issues and that those skills could be increasingly valued in teaching, research and international policy-making.

Below you can find the updated schedule of initiatives and the partners’ list. We would like to invite all international students to participate, to share ideas and suggestions using the twitter hashtag #USienAware, to follow us on our social pages, and also to invite friends and fellow  students by using the Facebook event page that you can find here.
